Café Roux opens at night

Meet Julian Gabriel:

Julian has recently returned from the UK where he worked at leading gastro-pubs The Jugged Hare and Chiswell Street Dining Rooms. At Café Roux he introduces a brasserie-style menu drawing on his UK experience. Think whole roast baby chickens; interesting cuts of meat (opening night was rib-eye on the bone); home-cured Franschhoek trout with horseradish and beetroot; gourmet burgers; ham-hock terrine; hand-made pasta and delicious desserts.

Julian learnt the French classics from fine-dining experts John Torode [UK Masterchef judge] and SA’s very own Christiaan Campbell.

Look out for the ‘Little Gems’ wine list, which features interesting local varietals that we love at Café Roux.

Café Roux at Night is open Thursday to Saturday from 6pm till 9.30pm. Kids can eat from 5.30pm. The daytime menu resumes as before.
