Haute Cabrière Unwooded Pinot Noir

We all know and love the Haute Cabrière Chardonnay Pinot Noir. It’s an easy drinking everyday wine (even though it’s shot up in price over the last few years due to popularity…) Well, Haute Cabrière has just launched its latest offering – a first for South Africa – an Unwooded Pinot Noir. It’s the most astonishing colour – like fresh berries in a glass. With this crazy Cape Town weather we’ve been having lately, it would be perfect for a mid-winter picnic and pairs well with lighter dishes, even though it can stand up to warming winter casseroles too.
Introductory price of R79 from Haute Cabrière’s Tasting Room, open: Mon to Fri from 9am to 5pm; Sat from 10am to 4pm; Sunday from 11am to 4pm; 021 876 8500.
PS Be sure to serve it slightly chilled.
